Super Absorbent Technology

Our fabric is designed to perform at a new level of absorbency with our Ready-AbZORB technology. We’ve designed our Zorb 3D fabric to skip prewashing and drying and not shrink nearly as quickly as some other materials on the market. Indeed, this fabric reduces our shrinkage by 60% to 80%.

Finally, we don’t use super absorbent polymers in our fabrics. Because of this, the absorbency doesn’t fade with exposure to chemicals. Instead, the absorbency lasts for the lifetime of the material. And the more Zorb layers you use, the more absorbent your product will be. You can guarantee your product will be super absorbent!

Say Goodbye to Bacteria

Super absorbent fabric is essential for high-sweat or high-moisture situations. For example, athletes need absorbent clothing made with the right material. So does a baby’s diaper! But the problem we run into is bacterial growth.

Our Zorb 3D fabric features SILVADUR Antimicrobial, which prevents bacteria, fungi, or algae from growing on your fabric. It also controls odor and keeps your fabric fresh. It’s safe for sensitive skin, too. We tested ten times the recommended amount of SILVADUR on bamboo, cotton, and polyester. Even with a high amount on the fabric, we detected no skin sensitivity after ten tests. We’re thorough to ensure you’re taken care of!

Ideal On Its Own

The great thing about our Zorb 3D fabric is how you can use it independently. Some materials require interlining between layers, but not this one. It’s easier to create more fantastic products more quickly.

Important Note about UPF Ratings:
Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how much UV radiation (both UVB and UVA) a fabric allows to reach your skin. For example, a UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 % of the sun’s rays and allows 2% (1/50th) to penetrate, thus reducing your exposure risk significantly. A UPF 30 fabric blocks 97% of UV rays and allows roughly 3% of UV transmission. UPF 15 indicates that the fabric blocks roughly 93% of UV rays and allows about 7% of available UV radiation to pass through.

Important Note about Absorbency in 3D & 4D Zorb fabrics:
These fabrics are designed to be absorbent and made without the use of any chemicals during manufacturing. Our Ready-AbZorb process helps eliminate the need for pre-washing for absorption and also reduces the shrinkage. However the fabrics are made in large batch sizes on industrial machines and sometimes the fabric may not absorb as desired from when you receive it, or sometimes after cutting and sewing. In such cases, we recommend running the fabric through a hot wash and medium dry cycle; this will help remove any handling residues and activate the super absorbent fibers that might have been affected by handling.
